From October, 22nd to October, 24th the very first version of the Cervantes English Tournament (CET) was held at the Sports Center of Colegio Cervantes and I got involved, because I was in charge of organizing and hosting it, and also because I was participating as a teacher in charge of two students competing in Public Speaking and Poetry.

By the beginning of 2014, I started the organization of this socially acclaimed event when I sent over 40 invitations to schools of the region and closed some partnership agreements with two of this year's sponsors! and It all went on pretty well, as over 20 schools and more than 130 students ended up confirming their participation.

 From working as the organizer, to even being in charge of printing the assessment charts, I managed to bring out this highly anticipated event into the spotlight with the priceless help of the school's directory, teachers and students. The event itself took part during 3 days and counted with the valuable collaboration of Librería Inglesa, Instituto in English, Uribe y Asociados, The Shining Network, Confites Minena and Aguas del Valle, all of them directly supporting with money and material things.

The closing ceremony that took place on October, 24th was full of meaningful moments, including my very own closing speech, the students' award-ceremony and the incredible performance by the American singer and songwriter Danielle Williams. One important thing to mention, is the fact that for the first time Colegio Cervantes got awarded in Public Speaking and Poetry competitions as the school's representatives who were trained by me, were able to reach the 1st and 3rd places respectively, therefore, these final results had a significant impact in the host school as its headmaster and utp coordinator ended up announcing that Cervantes English Tournament is coming once again on 2015.
