On October, 10th I had the chance to teach for the very first time to a small group of children coming from vulnerable places located in Punta Mira Sur, Coquimbo. The group of students called ANTILAF was composed by Josue, Maikol, Ignacio, Lucas, Margareth, Génesis and many other kids aged from 7 to 12 years old; In the ocassion, all children had the chance to interact with me through an English lesson focused on giving personal information when meeting someone new, a lesson that was also directly linked to some of the general allignments proposed by the Ministry of Education.

The activity that was coordinated by Javiera Fuentes and Francisco Herrera, both practicioners from Oficina de Protección de los Derechos Infanto-Juvenil of Coquimbo, aimed to make this group of young people to understand the importance of the use of English outside a classroom setting.

The activity itself  is the jumping point for my highly anticipated charity project, in which selected groups of people will receive free English lessons in some vulnerable locations in Coquimbo in the months to come.
