It's been almost 3 months since the last time I posted something on my blog, so this is going to be the very first entry concerning my new section called #memories, a set of posts that will include information about the adventures in which I usually enroll into as a teacher and a typical 20 y.o man. So let the journey begins!

Some weeks ago I decided to take part in a competition called Song Fest, which was held in Colegio Cerro Grande in La Florida... I decided to join it mainly because it was really near to where I work, so the school-paperwork and permissions wouldn't be denied LOL.

Of course I was not going to sing, because I barely sing in the shower, so I organized a single casting in order to select 3 representatives from 5th grade to start practicing Delta Goodrem's single 'Dear Life' which is a really intimate song that I absolutely love listening to, in fact I have it on replay on my car and iPod. And that's the way it started... Sofia, Renata and Camila were the ones that took the determination on joining me and of course to accept all kind of criticism while training.

When the day of our presentation came over, we all were really nervous, but at least we were having fun, we took some selfies, we laughed from the other competitors' incredible performances and of course we sun-burned ourselves due to the high temperature of the place in which we were. (To be honest, if there's one thing I could criticize it would be the place in which it was held, as we were burning in the middle of the day under the sun with no glass of water!) Anyway, we managed to get some fresh air from a fan made of paper, so it was fun because we ended up hitting each other with our amazing handmade creations. Well... to make the long story short, my girls did it great, they sang beautifuly every single lyric of the song, so I was really proud of their work and how fearless they looked.

Eventhough we didn't win, my girls and I had a blast! I have always believed it is always good to expose your students to different adventures so they can feel that English can be widely used in different situations, even in those experiences where we do not have a singer's voice, but we do have the determination on believing that we are pop-stars anyway!
